The band first got together in July 2013, lugging gear to a basement on McCurdy Drive. After a few handshakes and hugs Marco, Kyle, Jordan and Stephen tuned-up, plug-in and shook the house with a southern rock infused song that came to be named Dresses & Ties. With this immediate connection the stringybois began solid months of writing, practicing, recording and live shows all while juggling that university lyfe in separate cities. By August 7th 2014, a year after playing their first ever show, The Stringers released their debut EP See You at 7 featuring 6 tracks that their parents seemed to like.

Since then the band has earned radio time from UOttawa, Carelton University and Algonquin College. They’ve played at fundraisers and frosh week. They played their first out-of-town show at Queen’s University’s QPOP! Music Festival, supporting P.S. I Love You. They’ve been interviewed and reviewed by the fantastic people at Sometimes Always, Ottawa Showbox, The Journal and more. They’ve played some insanely fun shows with Ottawa’s incredible pool of talent and they’ve supported their friends and fans in the music scene.

The Stringers have been lucky to have such amazing support from fans, and the opportunities to play with countless amazing bands – They’re not stopping.
